Joys: Playing with my kids and my grand-kids gives me the biggest kick, they are sooo funny, and it makes me feel like a big kid, I love living where I live, the mountains are amazing and I love that I can look through my window and see them every day, and spending time with my friends that I know care about me, and let me be me.

Obsessions: Trying to do everything myself is a huge one, but at least now it's "trying to do everything myself first, then asking if I'm stuck", cutting my own hair, I don't really know why I do that, it doesn't cost a lot! lol,
and playing ticket to ride, as often as I can, many different versions, and trying to beat everyone!!

Surprising facts: I was a telecommunications engineer (that means I worked for BT in England, but it sounds good) I climbed telephone poles, worked on optical fibers, and generally got stuck in to a job that only a few other women in England at the time were doing, and I loved it!!
I do love to dance, not slow dancing, be warned I tread on feet! but I love the feeling you get when you let your hair down forget everyone around you and enjoy, I was a Grandma when I was 44, thank you Zoe for making me a Grandma at an age when I can chase after the kids and still catch them, play soccer with my son-in-law and keep him away from the ball, ha, and enjoy myself as the goofy person I am.

YAY IT'S MY BIRTHDAY!!

I had so much fun for my birthday, Zoe and Dustin came from Cedar City and made me lunch on my actual birthday, it was so fun to have them stay because really what can you do on your birthday on a Sunday! unless spend it with your family which I was glad I got to do. Rhianna and Morgan gave me home made cards which I love, and mean so much (that's what I did for my Mum when I was that age!) and a gift of my little framed saying "Mother my best friend forever" which dissappeared off my wall a few weeks ago lol, which i pretended I didn't notice had gone. I love my kids they are so creative, things that you never forget. On Monday I spent the day with friends which was a blast, and yes I had TTR games "love it" so if anyone wants to play Sweden which is so fantastic Shanine and her kids made the board off the internet for me and the route cards it's awesome! and the German game, which I love cos it's the only one I can beat Shanine at, thanks guys!! lol. That night we had a TTR night at the RC, with lots of treats to keep us going, and I had made myself my "Mayan" creation, if you know me at all well, you know how I love the Mayan, and not for the food! so this is my cake of mountain and divers, and yes it was very yummy too!

Summer fun with friends

This past week we went to see our friends Lane and Kim and their family, we had so much fun. We decided to go on a hike as it was soooo hot, and through the shady trees seemed like a fantastic idea! Lol, it was so dry in there and the ground was at such a precarious angle everyone was sliding down the hill and couldn't get back up, we were all covered in dust and dirt, and poor Morgan slipped down the hill on her face and hair! it was hilarious, we all got soaked under the tap to wash the dirt off, and it cooled us off at the same time. I'm not sure in the one pic of Landen if he was praying! please get me away from the crazy people or not lol. We also went to the water slides, oh so fun for some of the kids, some like me were a little scared of them, but we all went down at least once, and got nice and cool. Ogdens has such a cool place the "Treehouse Childrens Museum" there are themed areas through out the whole building with dresss up clothes and play areas, the kids all loved going around trying everything of course. While I was staying with Lane and Kim, myself and Kim got time to go for a pedicure, aahhh so good, and we had frozen grapes to eat while we were pampered! I couldn't resist putting a pic of our amazingly attractive toes!

The best one I know of, and it took me a long time to get this! is don't sweat the small stuff, it really isn't worth it.

Biggest time saver

Put the dishes in the dishwasher straight away, and take them out as soon as they are done, I'm really trying hard to get this concept!

Really I don't work out!! lol, but I work my butt off most days and I guess that works for me

Family Re-union

My Aunt from California, and my Uncle from England came to visit me this past week, this doesn't sound like an interesting thing, but it was HUGE, I haven't seen any of my family for 10 years. They flew in to Salt Lake airport and the girls and myself went to pick them up, they didn't look much different to me, and it was sooo fun having them here. A big THANK YOU Uncle John for making the trip possible. I took them down to Cedar City to meet Dustin and see Zoe, it was fun watching my girls and grandkids with them. The time went very fast, but yay Uncle John might be back next year!!

We had a slip and slide 4th party with friends today, it was sooo much fun, anyone not holding a camera got wet, this picture of Morgan was hilarious, she was shaking her bahookie, then they all decided to try and drink the hose water, and we finished off the night watching the Stadium of Fire fireworks from Fox field, they were very impressive as usual.

Im really not sure where all this year has gone so far, wasn't it just barely Christmas, perhaps it's because I'm old but the year goes by so quickly these days. Rhianna is doing really well in school she loves to read, they have been reading the Spider Wick Chronicles, she loves that book, so we went to see the movie. Rhianna kept telling me it wasn't scarey, but I was covering my face and hardly daring to watch! it is very scarey for this Mom. Morgan is doing well at school as well, she also has done very well with her reading and writing projects, I love to see how much her writing has changed since the school year started. I decided to save some of the work they both do because it is so much fun to look back over things they have done.

Morgan informed me after her last soccer game that she was "retiring" from soccer, I really hope not because it's one of the few sports I actually know something about! We will have to see in the fall if she changes her mind, you never can tell with Morgan she never ceases to amaze me.

Yay at last a new camera, so hopefully better pictures. These pics are all from December, when we were still actually enjoying the snow, now, not so much, they do say you can get too much of a good thing!! We had an awesome Christmas, so many fun and kind people that are so wonderful in our lives. Rhianna and Morgan are getting longer and longer legs, and I'm sure will over take me in the height race, it's kind of scarey how much they have grown up recently, they are truly fantastic kids and I love them a lot.

This was my birthday cake, it's cupcakes with a ton of frosting over the top. We all picked it out, and the girls chose some gifts for me from the dollar aisle in the store, then when we got back to the motel, I had to pretend to be surprised at my birthday treats, it was a lot of fun, and frosting everywhere.

Rhianna Morgan and myself went to St George for the week-end. The girls hadn't stayed there before and they loved the palm trees, infact they couldn't believe that they could see any in Utah! We travelled down on the Thursday, then it was my birthday on the Friday, it was a lot of fun just doing whatever we felt like, and yes it was extremely hot!

In the summer we also went to Lagoon, it was a blistering hot day so the pool was a hit for us all. Later we enjoyed all the rides and the Rattlesnake Rapids drenched evryone of us, it was hilarious, Mom thought she wasn't going to get wet, but boy she did!! We finally left just before closing time, tired but happy.

It is already March, I can't believe it where did Christmas go. I have been packing away the sweaters, sorting out clothes, which seems a constant job for me, or buying clothes for Rhianna who never seems to stop growing.Before I know where I am, the girls will be done with school for Summer, and I will be in to my crazy busy season for work.
